Short Biography
Born in Bucharest during the strangest decade of the communist era - the 1980s - Marius Copel a.k.a. Electrons in Slow Motion is, besides musician and visual creator, the artistic director of one of the very few political film festivals in the world. Being witness during this activity to countless artistic and journalistic independent investigations, a personal conclusion emerged: it may be a solitary endeavor, but the metaphysical space within us is the only authentic, borderless, perennial state to finally discover. Works from the first five studio materials, the 'Ecstatic Technologies' and 'Meta Incognita' LPs and the 'Chasm', ‘Flood Gates’ and ‘Umwelt’ EPs, have been featured in various Radio-shows, from the legendary Grenzwellen at Radio Hannover, hosted by Ecki Stieg one of the greatest German DJ’s of the last decades, to the exquisite niche programs Aural Tethers (CFRU, Canada), Unexplained Sounds (Italy) or Resonance FM (UK) and in specialized publications from all over the world such as Electronic Beats (Germany/ Romania), ADRS (Canada/Japan), Scena9 (Romania), Dilema Veche (Romania), Beatradar (Norway) or Chromatic (Spain).
